I imported the staff to the Maya file where I have Idris. Then I selected everything in the Outline that had to be exported and clicked File > Send to Unity. The first attempt was a fail as you can see below. Apparently the body had some kind of issue and could not be exported, so I had to get rid of the cool suit I created for her because it would not work in Unity.
After dragging the character in the Unity scene, click on it and change the Animation Type to Humanoid > Apply , then Configure and Done. And there I had running and jumping Idris! Altough I parented the staff to the wrist in Maya, it does not work in Unity yet, but we'll fix that next week.
